The AI Collective @ UC Davis is the University of California, Davis’ premier AI/ML student organization. We are part of the AI Collective, a global non-profit building the human layer for the AI era. We unite 200,000+ leaders, builders, and stakeholders across 150+ chapters worldwide to democratize the frontier, build trust, and coordinate how society navigates the rapid acceleration of technological progress.

Mission: Democratize AI and unify minds across every discipline, building literacy and making AI education accessible for all.

Who Our Members Are

We currently boast 200+ active members selected through an application process. 60% CS and engineering, 40% non-technical including business, product, design, and domain specialists. Members have hands-on experience with full-stack engineering, applied AI/ML, design, and product/project management. The cohort skews 3rd and 4th years, making them recruiting-ready within one to two years.

We have three years of operational history, 800+ completed projects, and 50+ industry events hosted. Technical Projects ⭐

A student engineering team works on a scoped project for your company over 8 to 10 weeks. Completely pro-bono, and all IP stays with you.

• Team of 4 to 6 screened engineers, PMs, and designers
• Your commitment: a PRD, design files, one weekly 30 to 60 minute check-in, and a point of contact
• NDAs available on request
• Can build proofs of concept, prototypes, feature spikes, internal tooling, or deprioritized work </aside>

Recruiting Pipelines ⭐

Get direct access to pre-screened candidates across CS, product, and design before recruiting season competition intensifies.

Send an engineer, PM, or recruiter to speak at one of our events. We average 150+ attendees and run at least one event a month.
